These Terms & Conditions apply to all tuition provided by Wantage Academic Tutoring.

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the tutoring services provided by Wantage Academic Tutoring. By booking tuition, you agree to the following terms.

Tuition

Tuition is provided on an individual basis and is tailored to the student's educational needs, goals and stage of study.

While every effort will be made to support academic progress, no guarantee can be given regarding examination results or university admissions outcomes.

Initial Consultation

A free initial consultation is offered to discuss educational goals, assess individual requirements, and determine whether tuition is appropriate.

Fees

Current tuition fees are published on the Fees & Policies page of this website.

Payment is requested in advance of each lesson unless otherwise agreed.

Invoices are issued electronically.

Cancellation

Lessons cancelled with at least 24 hours' notice may be rearranged without charge.

Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice are normally charged in full.

If Wantage Academic Tutoring needs to cancel a lesson, every effort will be made to rearrange it at a mutually convenient time.

Online Tuition

Where lessons are delivered online, students are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • a reliable internet connection;

  • appropriate equipment;

  • a quiet environment suitable for study.

Student Responsibilities

Students are expected to:

  • attend lessons punctually;

  • engage respectfully during tuition;

  • complete agreed preparation where appropriate;

  • communicate any concerns as early as possible.

Safeguarding

Where tuition is provided to students under the age of 18, appropriate safeguarding practices will be followed at all times.

Parents or guardians remain responsible for the welfare of students outside scheduled tuition sessions.

Teaching Materials

Teaching materials prepared by Wantage Academic Tutoring remain the intellectual property of Peter Bergamin unless otherwise agreed.

Materials are provided for the personal educational use of the student and should not be copied, distributed or published without permission.

Limitation of Liability

Every reasonable effort is made to provide high-quality tuition.

However, Wantage Academic Tutoring accepts no liability for:

  • examination outcomes;

  • university admissions decisions;

  • decisions made by schools, examination boards or universities.

Changes to These Terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.

The most recent version will always be available on this website.
